Emotional Marketing is the natural evolution of what we're all taught in school, what most CMOs follow to a tee and what all fresh faced graduates believe is marketing. What we're all taught in school and most professionals follow is a model that was developed about 50 years ago. Marketing has changed significantly in 50 years and yet, we're all learning the same strategies and tactics that were successful 50 years ago.
The world has changed in 50 years and so has marketing. I call this new dynamic, Emotional Marketing, because we need to engage differently, we need to communicate powerfully and we need to be outstanding to make our marketing work for us. And by engaging on a different level we're able to activate the emotions of our audience which will create the results we've been looking for that these old tactics can no longer do for us.
